In partnership with Nature Consortium, fiscally sponsored by Shunpike, and with partial funding from the Office of Arts & Culture Seattle, Many Hats Theatre presents THE LAST CROISSANT, a new play by Veronica Tjioe
The Last Croissant takes place at a campsite in the redwoods of northern California. Here we find a charming park ranger, a couple of bird-watching empty-nesters, a fortune-cookie writer, a bear, and our campground hosts, Mumbo and Jumbo. Different reasons brought each of them to the forest, but one thing connects them: they’ve all been saving something they didn’t enjoy soon enough. The Last Croissant embodies what has been dubbed playwright Veronica Tjioe’s distinctive “clown tragedy” aesthetic. An experiment in minimalism and magical realism.
Performances run Nov. 10th-18th in the Thelma DeWitty Theatre at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center.
