Free hip hop dance classes for young people 9th -12th grade!
This class serves as a positive way for middle and high school students to express themselves through hip-hop music and dance. Students work in groups and as individuals. Students act as choreographers, creating new dance moves with the instructor to be performed in class. Class begins with a 5-10 minute warm-up stretch and ends with a discussion about what we liked, what we need to work on and how to do so.
Develop strength, grace and confidence while learning basic Egyptian technique and posture. In this class you will break down hipwork, fluid torso undulations, shimmies, and sensuous arm and hand movements.
Cost: $18 per class, $162 for the entire 9 week session.
Students new to fabric will have a chance to learn basic climbs, locks, and drops at a slower pace, while building strength and getting comfortable on the apparatus.
This classe is suitable for those in good physical condition with no current injuries. A basic level of fitness and hand/arm strength is strongly recommended.

Free Poetry classes for young people 6th -12th grade!
We all have a truth to speak, learn to speak your truth poetically. This class will focus on spoken word poetry and the work of artists involved in poetry slam. We will practice tapping our creativity, crafting images with figurative language and performing our poems. Opportunities for recording will be available.

The Jewish Education Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle Proudly Presents... Rabbi Moshe Cotel, composer/pianist, presents a unique mix of classical piano and personal stories. In 90 minutes, Cotel recounts his private journey from the life of a virtuoso musician to that of a spiritual leader.
