Help volunteer to make Delridge Day a success! The Youngstown Cleanup Day will bring together artist residents and Youngstown staff for a BBQ and beautification of the center. We'll also walk through the facility and finalize the logistics for the big day. Additional canvassing and training may also go down.  Beginning Aerial Dance on Trapeze with Charly McCreary.

Saturday, April 19th through Saturday May 17th 11:30am-1:00pm 

Cost: $80.00 

In this session, students will explore the low-flying dance trapeze at  a beginning level. Utilizing technical vocabulary learned in class,  improvisational exercises, choreography and conditioning, students will grow stronger and more confident in the air and on the ground. Guest instructors will occasionally visit class to offer new approaches to what students are learning.

This class is suitable for those in good physical condition with no
current injuries. A basic level of fitness and hand/arm strength is strongly recommended. If you have any questions about your eligibility for this class, or for details on how to register, please contact charly@cabiri.org to discuss before registering. Limit 14 students.

Charly McCreary, a founding member of Seattle's Cabiri performance troupe, has a background in ballet, yoga, circus arts and physical  theatre. She has been dancing in the air since 2001 and performs regularly at The Pink Door restaurant and cabaret lounge in downtown Seattle. As a teacher, Charly believes in using innovative, challenging, fun activities to build strength and self-confidence.

COMMUNITY THEATER PRESENTS: OTHER PLACES BY HAROLD PINTER

$15 General; $12 Student/Senior/TPS member

The final production of their second season, The Community Theater will stage Other Places--a collection of three short plays that probe themes of dispossession, distance and redefinition--throughout May in the Theater. The playwright, Harold Pinter, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2005. Tickets for the show are available at brownpapertickets.com
