Arts~in~Nature Festival

Music, Dance, Theatre, an outdoor Museum of Sound, Kids & Family Activities, Food & Drink! Creative artists of all genres "come out to play in the woods" during this funky annual celebration. From the Boxtania Revolutionary Rolling Marching Band to an outdoor museum of sound, this festival will showcase an impressive number of locally renowned performing artists, sound artists and ensembles such as Lelavision, The Cabiri, The Phffft! Dance Theatre Company, Correo Aereo, Eyvind Kang, Jessika Kenney, Susie Kozawa, Dave Beck and Elizabeth Falconer.
This multidisciplinary event is produced by the Nature Consortium and will be nestled in the forested arms of Camp Long (5200 35th Ave. SW at SW Dawson St.), as well as at the newly renovated Youngstown Cultural Arts Center (4408 Delridge Way SW) on Sat. August 26h (from 11am-9pm) and Sun. Aug. 27th (from 10am-6pm). The event will run simultaneously at these 2 West Seattle venues. Camp Long will host the ambient & acoustic side of the event and Youngstown will provide a space for amplified performances, movement pieces and visual arts from a variety of genres.
With a serious commitment to conservation, all festival marketing materials are printed on tree-free paper made from the kenaf plant. Admission is by donation with $5.00 per person, $10.00 per family suggested. For more information and directions, visit the Nature Consortium's website.
